How To Keep Deer Out Of My Flower Garden

Posted on October 8, 2021

If you want to learn how to keep deer out of my flower garden, I encourage you to read this article. I have had many experiences growing beautiful gardens with deer in them. But as with any encounter, you will need to know how to properly treat them. That way they will not get to stay.

How to Keep Deer Out of My Flower Garden started when we decided to plant some bushes along the edge of our property. The bushes were tall and we placed them so that they would cover the widest part of our property. We decided to plant roses, daisies, sunflowers, black-eyed susans, and two varieties of bells (I grow those myself). We planted these tall bushes about three feet deep with good growing season and they did well for several years.

Then I noticed that there were strange activities going on near one of the bushes. What happened? Suddenly a large male basset hound was hanging around looking at our new roses. He seemed to be looking at the bushes and then he decided he wanted to get up close to the plants. So he began to pull at the weeds with his teeth and then he started to snip the tips off with his claws.

This went on for several days until one day we noticed that the tall bushes were being destroyed by scores of dead leaves and flowers. We didn’t see any trails leading away from the area so we assumed that the culprit was one of the deer that were wandering around looking at the flowers. Well, after a little research I learned that the culprits were none other than “the shake-away deer repellent packs.”

These deer repellents are also called turkey repellents and I have seen them being used by hunters before. The manufacturers of these products will tell you that they are harmless for humans, but most people don’t believe them. You can find some very strong brands of these repellents on the Internet but be sure to read the reviews left by real users. You might be surprised at what other hunters have to say about these types of products.

Some of the other benefits that these products have to offer include attracting birds to your garden by releasing a substance that makes the birds stay away from the area. Deer will also steer clear of your garden if the smell of these repellents is present. I find that these types of repellents work best when they are sprayed directly on top of the soil and not mixed into the soil. You must do your homework before purchasing any deer repellents, so that you get the best results.

My favorite ways to eliminate deer from my flower gardens are to use non toxic sprays. I prefer using non toxic sprays because they are safer for me and my family. In addition, I am able to control what kinds of plants I grow because I don’t need to pick all natural seeds to plant. I also use the Shake-away deer repellents and use the turkey repellents on my deer stand. All of these methods allow me to grow my flower gardens and grow my food with ease.

Another method that has worked well for me is to build a stockade around the outside of my garden. This gives me better security from my deer because they can no longer get in or out of my garden. There are several types of fences that you can build, including underground electric fences. However, one of the best types is the shake-away fence. The shake-away fence is an electric fence that has a mesh cover on the bottom so that the deer cannot pull down through the mesh, but are unable to climb over it.
