Electric Leaf Blower Vacuum – Should You Get One Or Not?

Posted on August 20, 2021

One of the best tools for landscaping is an electric leaf blower vacuum. It can make your yard look beautiful if you find the right one. There are many to choose from so it is not hard to find one that will suit your needs. They may not be as powerful as other tools available, but some of these can come pretty close.

The main downside is usually the cord, which limits the range and mobility. You can extend the reach by using an extension cord, but then you are limited to being able to use your equipment in close proximity to a wall power outlet. For areas where this is a problem, electric leaf blower vacuums are the way to go. The best models will come with an extended cord, and some even have a built in extension cord with an outlet for your cordless tools.

There are two modes available on most electric blower vacuums. One uses the regular vacuum mode and another uses the dirt whirling wheel in the bag. Both are powerful tools that will get rid of all kinds of debris such as fallen leaves, sticks and branches, yard trimmings and yard debris such as golf balls, tire treads and more. In addition, they are very effective at removing insects and pests from your lawn. In order to keep the insects and pests away, the suction power of the bag will need to be strong.

To use the bag mode simply hold the bag in the palm and rotate it around the yard. This will create suction with the circular motion creating a low pressure stream that will draw all kinds of debris into the bag. Then just empty the contents of the bag into the trash. Rotating the bag can also work if you want to draw a larger volume of leaves and other debris. Remember to unplug the electric blower first to avoid any shock or injury.

An electric leaf blower is much easier to store when it is in its smaller model. With the smaller size you can easily tuck it away in the bottom of your garage or basement. It comes with an accessory called the Leaf collector that will collect the leaves and other debris and prevent them from being blown away into your house. This accessory will also help if you have a large tree in the yard. These accessories come in handy especially for larger trees that are more than six feet in diameter.

The larger version will cost a bit more but it will get the job done faster and leave the house cleaner. The collection bag is built in, so it should not spill anything. I would stay away from the smaller models that only have a single collection bag. This means the leaf dust will be blown right out of your house into your house. The best way to find out which is best for you is to read through all of the reviews on both the electric blower and the collection bags. If you are unsure then go get one of each to find out which you prefer.

I would recommend getting either a corded or a cordless leaf blower vacuum. There are pros and cons to both of them, depending on the type of mulch you have. If you mulch mostly large leaves then you might want to go with the corded three-in-one blower, it will get the job done faster and more efficiently.

If you mulch a lot then a cordless blower or a handheld vacuum would be your best choice. The lightweight models are easier to move around when you mulch and you don’t have the weight that you do with a corded model. Make sure the one you decide on has the best lightweight mulching capability. Most of them are able to handle up to 5 pounds of leaves at a time. You can also buy a few other attachments if you want such as a lawn trimmer, a leaf blower brush, and a leaf blower blade attachment.
